HOW DO I TRANSPORT MY CAKE?
To ensure your cake arrives safely at its destination, please follow these guidelines:
KEEP IT FLAT: Place the cake on a flat surface in your vehicle, such as the floor or in the boot. Avoid placing it on a seat or on your lap, as this can cause the cake to tilt or tip over during transit.
USE AIR CONDITIONING: Keep the air conditioning on high, especially during warmer months, to maintain a cool environment and preserve the cake’s structure.
CHILLED FOR STABILITY: Our larger and taller cakes are refrigerated for a minimum of 6 hours prior to pick-up to help ensure stability during transport
TAKE IT EASY: Most importantly, please drive carefully and slowly - especially around turns and over bumps. Sudden stops or sharp movements can affect the structural integrity of your cake. A smooth ride helps keep your cake look perfect for its big moment.
Please note: We do not recommend driving for more than an hour or outside of Auckland with our cakes.

CUPCAKES:
- Cupcakes are best enjoyed at room temperature on the day they're made.
- For the best flavour and texture, consume within 48 hours.
- Cupcakes with buttercream frosting typically last about 4 to 5 days in the fridge.
- Store them in an airtight container to prevent them from drying out or absorbing fridge odors. (Note: Refrigeration can make them dry.)
- Before serving, allow cupcakes to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to soften and enhance flavour.
CAKES:
- Store cakes in the refrigerator, especially before transporting.
- Bring to room temperature 2 to 3 hours before serving to allow the cake and frosting to soften. Chilled cakes are a lot firmer.

FREEZING YOUR CAKE:
- Cakes can be frozen for up to 4 months.
- Remove any buttercream or fillings before freezing. Freezing with the buttercream can be done however, when thawed, buttercream can sometimes lose its creamy texture. The flavour may also change.
- Wrap the cake tightly in cling film and place in an airtight container to prevent freezer odors.
- Defrost the cake completely before serving. For an extra treat, warm it slightly in the microwave and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum!
