HOW DO I TRANSPORT MY CAKE?

We recommend that cakes are transported on a flat surface in your vehicle (either the floor or the boot of your car) with the air conditioning turned on high. If the cake is sitting on your lap, this may tilt the cake and tip over. We refrigerate our larger/tall cakes for minimum of 6 hours prior to collection to ensure stability during transportation. 

We do not recommend travelling outside of Auckland with any of our cakes as they do not travel well for long durations, especially during the warmer seasons.

HOW DO I STORE MY CAKE?

Cupcakes will dry out if placed in the refrigerator for too long, especially overnight. Our cupcakes are best enjoyed at room temperature. Please consume your cupcakes within 48 hours.

Cakes should be stored in the refrigerator, especially prior to being transported and then brought to room temperature at least 2 to 3 hours prior to serving. This will allow the cake and frosting to soften as our cakes are best enjoyed at room temperature - the texture of chilled cakes are a lot harder. Please consume your room temperature within 48 hours.

You can freeze your cake for up to 4 months. Remove all buttercream and fillings, wrap well with cling film and store in an airtight container. This will prevent it absorbing flavours from the freezer. Allow your cake to defrost completely before serving. Highly recommend heatng your cake in the microwave and serving with vanilla ice cream. Yum!

Room temperature cakes with frosting must be consumed within 48 hours.

Refrigerated cakes with frosting, stored in an airtight container must be consumed within 4 days.

HOW DO YOU CUT A TALL CAKE?

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY?

As we are a small business, refunds are not provided for custom orders, so please take this into consideration prior to placing an order and making payment.

 

Cancellations made more than two weeks prior to your requested date will be issued a store credit to redeem at a later date (subject to availability) which can be used towards your next cake or used for our online store with no expiry.

 

Cancellations that are made less than 2 weeks before your requested date will incur a $100 cancellation fee and issued a store credit for the remainder. As preparation of your order is usually done within the two weeks prior - the $100 cancellation fee covers the work and time spent in the design process, administration, costs of ingredients/tools and for blocking out your requested date/turning away potential customers. 

 

DO YOU ACCOMMODATE FOR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

Although we try our best to accommodate for special dietary requirements, we are not an allergy free kitchen. All of our creations are prepared in the same kitchen where egg, nuts, gluten and dairy products are present.
